The vision for this home was to take advantage of the gorgeous, sprawling views beneath the property and create a homestead on a hilltop. It’s filled with personal details inspired by the family’s memories and extensive world travel. To incorporate the family’s love for all-things-aviation, the home includes desktops that taper at an angle to resemble the rounded shape of plane wings. There’s even decorative stewardess carts from Cathay Pacific between the desks. The one-of-a-kind riveted steel ceiling mimics the tin airplane facade most commonly seen in World War II fighter planes. Even the office door was specifically chosen for its likeness of a 1940s single airplane hangar door.
