The Humane Society of Truckee- Tahoe has been saving and improving the lives of pets since 1994. Several years ago they teamed up with The Town of Truckee Animal Services to improve efficiency. Together they have saved the lives of 100% of the area’s adoptable pets.
As you know, our region lacks a public shelter for homeless pets. Without such a facility the Humane Society struggles to find homes for the hundreds of animals they receive each year. With the help of donations they plan to partner with The Town of Truckee to build a new shelter and will be adding an endowment to ensure the organization’s fiscal future.
