You can ask the cabinet builders at Mark Tanner Construction because they have built one for Lou Montulli and it sits in his beautiful Mark Tanner Construction  home in Martis Woods Estates! First let me give you a quick background on Lou, one of the founders of all things behind the internet that you are now utilizing including HTTP, HTML, some of the first browsers and the list goes on. So it is not surprising that he would be fascinated my MAME.

So what the heck is MAME anyway? The name is an acronym for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. An emulator in computer science duplicates the functions of one system using a different system, so that the second system behaves like (and appears to be) the first system. MAME is an emulator application designed to recreate the hardware of arcade game systems in software, with the intent of preserving gaming history and preventing vintage games from being lost or forgotten.

In 2003 Lou had an obsession with MAME and researched cabinet designs to house his vintage game. He was fortunate enough to find Tanner Construction who create their woodwork and cabinetry in house and have the ability to recreate a vintage MAME cabinet.
