When we decided to build our second home in Tahoe Donner, we knew from the outset we would use Mark Tanner Construction. Tanner’s team managed the remodel of our first home impeccably, within budget and on time. In building a vacation home, the most important factor for us was trust. Every Mark Tanner Construction employee took immense pride in their work, and was consistently attentive to the details and creative elements. As we enjoy our new home, we appreciate the fact that we made the right choice at the outset of our homebuilding project.

Building a Tahoe home has always been our dream. Everybody says that, but we would literally dream about it. Obsess about it. Drive our friends crazy about it. This is what we worked so hard for.

Mark and his team realized this and always made our project feel as important to them as it did to us. We picked Mark based on his portfolio and his enthusiasm, then we met the team and it just kept getting better. The MTC team became family. They pumped us up when we needed it, grounded us when we needed it, and even counseled us when we needed it. We found out trust is a big part of this process and they earned that trust. They weren’t happy unless we were happy.

I’m a finance guy who enjoys an irritating amount of detail. Mary loves new ideas but also has a great eye and knows what she wants. The MTC team gave us both everything we needed. We probably were a lot to handle at times, but they didn’t make us feel that way. They built a killer product that we were not only proud of, but they were proud of as well. And they built it fast!

And the service doesn’t stop when you get the keys. They continue to take great pride in their build and stand by their product.

This was our first time building a home. We didn’t know what to expect. We placed our trust in the right people and now have our dream home.
