“When we were doing our research to build our dream Tahoe house, we learned that Mark Tanner had built many of the homes in Tahoe Donner that we admired. We have owned a house here since 1990, and we had very specific ideas about what we wanted in a new house. Mark immediately understood what we wanted and over a period of weeks converted our ideas into plans that were finally approved by the Town of Truckee and Tahoe Donner. Mark and his team handled every aspect of the process, which was critical to us because we live in Petaluma. He went with us to Reno to select tile and he took us to the stairway factory in Loomis to work with their designers. When we were not able to find the kind of cabinets we wanted, Bryan who runs the cabinet shop designed and built all the fabulous kitchen and bath cabinets and vanities in the house. He also built a bar that matches our dining room table. Without exception every member of his team reflected Mark’s customer service philosophy

There was never a problem or issue that they could not solve. For example, when we were looking for someone to cater a dinner at the house, we called Mark. He suggested Chris (a trained chef who also did our tile work). The food was outstanding and everyone was impressed. The kitchen got tested by a real Chef and it wall worked to perfection. Adrian (pastry chef and tile setter) delivered the cake and put the final touch on it in front of all the guests. It was quite a show. We kidded Mark that his tile and catering division did him proud!”
